Hot Dog & Corn Summer Slaw Bun
Uses: beef hot dog, hot dog bun, cabbage, corn, carrot, lemon
Ingredients:
- 1 beef hot dog
- 1 hot dog bun
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup cooked corn kernels
- 2 tablespoons grated carrot
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon oil
Instructions:
- Heat the hot dog according to package directions until steaming hot throughout.
- Toss cabbage, corn, and carrot with lemon juice, oil, black pepper, and a small amount of salt.
- Toast or warm the bun lightly.
- Place the hot dog in the bun and top with a generous spoonful of the crunchy corn slaw.
Good for: A fun summer hot dog with a fresh, colorful vegetable topping instead of a heavy condiment.
Optional: Add ketchup, picante sauce, or a little cheddar.
