Summer Burger & Cucumber-Tomato Plate

Uses: beef burger, burger bun, cucumber, plum tomato, red onion, lime

Ingredients:

  • 1 beef burger patty, about 4 ounces
  • 1 burger bun
  • 1/2 cucumber, chopped
  • 1 plum tomato, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions:

  1. Cook the burger to 160°F and season with black pepper, garlic powder, and a small amount of salt.
  2. Toast the bun lightly.
  3. Toss cucumber, tomato, and red onion with lime juice, 1 teaspoon oil, oregano, pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Serve the burger with the cool summer salad on the side or spoon some onto the burger.

Good for: A classic burger dinner balanced with a fresh, juicy, no-lettuce summer salad.

Optional: Add cheddar or hummus to the burger.
