Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cooked couscous
  • 1/2 cup milk, divided
  • 1/2 apple, diced small
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Tiny pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the couscous according to package directions, using part milk in place of water if the package method allows.
  2. Place the diced apple in a small saucepan with 2 tablespoons milk, cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of salt. Cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until slightly softened.
  3. Fluff the couscous and stir in enough warm milk to make it soft and spoonable.
  4. Top with the warm cinnamon apples and serve immediately.

Good for: A warm breakfast grain bowl with gentle apple-cinnamon flavor and creamy milk.

Optional: Add chopped orange or kiwi on the side for a fresh contrast.
