Beef, Mushroom & Tomato Fusilli
Uses: ground beef, fusilli, tomato sauce, mushrooms, red onion
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 ounces ground beef
- 1 cup gnocchi
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon diced red onion
Instructions:
- Cook the gnocchi according to the package instructions and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with mushrooms and red onion until the beef is fully cooked and the vegetables are softened. Season as it cooks with your favorite spices.
- Add the tomato sauce and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, letting the sauce warm through and pick up flavor from the beef and mushrooms.
- Spoon the beef and tomato sauce over the gnocchi, or stir everything together for a warm pasta-style bowl.
Good for: A hearty, familiar dinner with the feel of a pasta bowl, but made with tender gnocchi.
Optional: Add shredded cheddar on top for a richer, cheesier bowl.
