Chicken Ranch Cabbage Open-Faced Sandwich
Uses: chicken breast, cabbage, ranch, wheat bread, tomato
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 ounces cooked chicken breast, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 tablespoon ranch
- 2 slices wheat bread
- 2 slices tomato
Instructions:
- Cook the chicken by roasting, pan-searing, boiling, or sauteing it with your favorite seasonings until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice.
- Toss the shredded cabbage with ranch to make a quick, creamy slaw.
- Toast the bread, then layer on tomato, sliced chicken, and the ranch cabbage.
- Serve open-faced, or add a second slice of bread to make a sandwich.
Why it works: Cabbage adds crunch and holds up well with dressing, making this feel fresh and satisfying.
Optional: Add 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar and warm briefly for a melt.
