Chicken Ranch Melt with Cabbage Slaw
Uses: chicken breast, wheat bread, shredded cheddar, cabbage, ranch
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces cooked chicken, sliced
- 2 slices wheat bread
- 3 tablespoons shredded cheddar
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 tablespoon ranch
Instructions:
- Cook the chicken by roasting, pan-searing, or sauteing it with your favorite seasonings, then slice it.
- Place the chicken on bread and sprinkle cheddar over the top.
- Warm in a pan, toaster oven, or microwave until the cheese melts and the bread is warm. Toast the bread first if you want more crunch.
- Toss the shredded cabbage lightly with ranch to make a quick slaw.
- Serve the warm chicken melt with the cabbage slaw on the side, or add a little slaw inside the sandwich for crunch.
Good for: A warm sandwich-style dinner with creamy, crunchy slaw on the side.
Optional: Add tomato or cucumber to the sandwich after heating.
