Ground Beef Stuffed Cabbage Skillet
Uses: ground beef, cabbage, rice, tomato sauce, red onion
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 ounces ground beef
- 1 tablespoon diced red onion
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
Instructions:
- Cook the ground beef with red onion in a skillet until the beef is fully cooked. Season as it cooks with garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, Italian seasoning, or your favorite seasoning blend.
- Add the shredded cabbage and cook until it softens and becomes tender.
- Stir in the cooked rice and tomato sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until everything is hot and the flavors come together.
- Serve warm in a bowl, with the cabbage, rice, beef, and sauce all mixed together.
Why it works: It has the cozy flavor of stuffed cabbage without the extra work of rolling cabbage leaves.
Optional: Add shredded cheddar before serving, or stir in a small splash of vinegar to brighten the tomato sauce.
