Pretzel-Crusted Chicken Dinner Plate with Cabbage Slaw
Uses: chicken breast, pretzels, sweet potato, cabbage, ranch
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 ounces chicken breast
- 1/4 cup crushed pretzels
- 1 small sweet potato
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 tablespoon ranch
Instructions:
- Place pretzels in a bag and crush them into small crumbs with your hands, a can, or the bottom of a cup.
- Season the chicken with your favorite spices, then press the pretzel crumbs onto the chicken to make a crunchy coating.
- Bake, pan-sear, or sauté the chicken until golden on the outside and fully cooked in the center.
- Cook the sweet potato in the microwave or oven until tender.
- Toss the cabbage lightly with ranch to make a quick slaw.
- Serve the crunchy chicken with the sweet potato and cabbage slaw on the side.
Good for: A fun, crunchy chicken dinner that feels a little more special than a plain chicken plate.
Optional: Add applesauce on the side for a sweet contrast with the salty pretzel crust.
